Jennifer Hillhouse has been working in the creative industries since 2010 specialising in photography, design and creative strategy. She is a problem solver and has spent most of her career using her skills to develop the visual components of many varied businesses. She enjoys getting to know her clients and capturing their stories in the most considered and unique way possible.
Her pottery work forms the basis of Jennifer’s personal artistic practice. She likes to explore form, function and design. Prior knowledge from the creative industry cross over into this more manual artform. She finds pleasure slowing down and learning new theory and skills.
Perhaps it’s best to separate these 3 main arms of Jennifer’s working career, however, they often cross over. Each part lends itself to the other and without one the other wouldn’t be there. So when it comes to explaining what Jennifer does.. it is simply; Potter, Photography & Design.
Jennifer studied Communication design with Honours at Queensland College of Art. She has also owned her own business (Vieille Branche) which was a French bistro and arts and entertainment venue from 2013 - 2018. This space became a platform for many creative pursuits including regular artisan market days, weddings, workshops, sunday jazz afternoons and a thriving cafe.
If you have a creative project in mind send her an email and she is happy to see how her skills will work for your idea.
